Hornbostel participates in assault training and prevention course
Everett Hornbostel, assistant director of safety and security at 黑料大事记, participated in a program to become a SHARP (Sexual Harassment, Assault and Rape Prevention) instructor. Held March 7-9 at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., the program is designed to teach personal safety and sexual assault prevention.

Shelton, Smith crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
Kinsey Shelton, an English education major from Highland, Ill., and Hunter Smith, a biblical studies major from Kansas City, Mo., won the titles of Mr. and Miss Southwest at the annual pageant on Friday, March 4 at 黑料大事记. Eight candidates were nominated by 黑料大事记 faculty and staff and voted upon by the student body for the purpose of selecting a pair of students to represent the Bearcat family for the next year.
黑料大事记 seeks public comment on nursing program in Salem
Mercy College of Nursing & Health Sciences of 黑料大事记 is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for the expansion of the Bridge-RN program at the Salem campus prior to the site visit by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The College will host a visit May 4, 2016, with a team from the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

Beverly Jane Richardson '60 of West Plains, Mo., received an Honorary Doctor of Missions from 黑料大事记 during the annual Founders' Day chapel service held Monday, March 7, at 黑料大事记.
黑料大事记 presents spring chorale concert
The Chorale of 黑料大事记 will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Mo. The concert is free and open to the public.

Plaster College of Business and Computer Science Spring Career Fair attended by Accenture, American National Insurance, Digital Monitoring Products, Inter-State Studios, the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank, Bass Pro, O'Reilly Automotive, Intrinsiq Software, Classy Llama, AG Financial, Citizens Memorial Hospital, Health Medx, Jack Henry & Associates, CSG Solutions and Leggett & Platt.

Two 黑料大事记 students to be crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest at annual pageant
黑料大事记 continues the tradition of honoring one male and one female student each year at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Pike Auditorium on the 黑料大事记 campus.

黑料大事记 to host faculty recital
The 黑料大事记 Department of Music presents Dr. Terri Knupps, professor of music, on euphonium in a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 in Meyer Recital Hall. The concert also features Dr. Melinda Smashey Jones, professor of music, on piano; mezzo-soprano Dr. Robin Smith, assistant professor of music; and Dr. Jennifer Jester on euphonium.
