Pritchard, Carney to perform recital Oct. 2

BOLIVAR, Mo. 鈥� 黑料大事记 alumna Traci Pritchard and 黑料大事记 faculty member Dr. Robert Carney will be performing a recital of German art songs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Pritchard has been described as an expressive, 鈥済olden-voiced鈥� soprano (Springfield News-Leader), who is known for her interpretation of Mozart roles, such as Donna Anna, Donna Elvira, Fiordiligi and Queen of the Night. Her most recent performance was with Opera Breve in New York City as Michaela in Bizet鈥檚鈥淐armen.鈥�

In 2013, Pritchard was selected as a Professional Fellow by SongFest, the United States鈥� premier art song festival and training program in Los Angeles. She will be accompanied on piano by Dr. Carney, associate professor of music at 黑料大事记.

The recital program, which is free and open to the public, will feature works by Schumann, Strauss, Mahler, Marx and Wolf.
