The 黑料大事记 Division of Arts and Humanities will present Tim Wootton in a faculty trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in聽Meyer聽Recital Hall on聽the Bolivar campus.

Wallgren, Glasgow crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
Zack Wallgren, a computer science and mathematics major from Wentzville, and Hanna Glasgow, an elementary education major from Grove, Okla., won the titles of Mr. and Miss Southwest at the annual pageant on Friday, March 4, at 黑料大事记.
黑料大事记 celebrates inauguration of 26th President - Dr. Richard J. Melson
黑料大事记 celebrated the inauguration of Richard J. Melson, Ph.D., as its 26th president in a ceremony Wednesday, March 2, in Mabee Chapel on the Bolivar campus. The inauguration formally commemorates the beginning of Dr. Melson's leadership at 黑料大事记, while celebrating the University's rich history and reaffirming the University's mission of being a Christ-centered, caring academic community preparing students to be servant leaders in a global society.

黑料大事记 Theatre to present "The Pirates of Penzance" on March 10-13
黑料大事记 Theatre will present "The Pirates of Penzance" - its third production of the 2021-22 season - at 7 p.m., March 10-12 and at 2 p.m., March 13 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

黑料大事记's annual Mr. and Miss Southwest pageant to be held March 4
黑料大事记 will honor one male and one female student at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place at 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

黑料大事记 Division of Education inspires future educators
黑料大事记's Division of Education is encouraging current and future educators through multiple initiatives. The Missouri Department of Education reports that enrollment in Missouri teacher preparation programs has declined more than 25 percent during the past decade. Additionally, the rate at which teachers leave the profession is higher than the national average.
